Located within a magnificent period Victorian building, the Royal Museum and Art Gallery is home to a large and permanent collection of decorative arts, paintings and much more besides. Of particular interest are the paintings by TS Cooper, who is known for his pieces depicting cattle and farmyards, and art works by Henry Moore and John Piper, amongst others. Located in central Canterbury, this gallery continues to draw large crowds and each year offers an extensive programme of events, including temporary exhibitions, talks, workshops and demonstrations. The Buffs Regimental Museum is also located within this building.
